Luigi Crema is the director of the Center for Sustainable Energy at Fondazione Bruno Kessler, in Trento. A physicist, he deals with issues connected with energy transition and the development of technology solutions for hydrogen and batteries, the two main pillars of the Center with about 40 between researchers, innovators and technicians. He was involved in more than 40 project initiatives on the energy sector and in more than 100 scientific papers.
He is the vice president of the Italian Hydrogen Association, supporting the role of hydrogen at the national scale and through the engagement of national institutions. For over twenty years, he has been involved in innovation between research and the industrial sector, with experience on how to transform development areas into viable solutions and economic value. He supported the creation and growth of Start-up such as Green Energy Storage and Unitec.

As Deputy Director-General in the European Union’s industry department, Maive Rute focusses on
green transition of industries, resilience of supply chains, availability of critical raw materials and
promotion of investments. In June 2022, European Commission nominated her the first ever Chief
Standardisation Officer. She is also member in the Horizon Europe research framework programme
steering committee and supervises the Enterprise Europe Network as well as the European Clusters
work.
Between 2005 – 2019, Maive Rute served as Director for Entrepreneurship and SMEs, and as
Director and Deputy Director-General in the research and innovation field of the European
Commission. She has previously worked as Deputy Governor of the central bank of Estonia and CEO
of KredEx, the Estonian business and export financing body

Martina Wettin, M.Sc.

Martina Wettin is an experienced entrepreneur in the clean hydrogen field with proven pioneering project deliveries through Nilsson Energy.
Nilsson Energy and Martina was recently appointed to co-chair the European Clean Hydrogen Alliance, Roundtable on Buildings. A task she fully embraces.
Wettin is also on the Board of the Swedish Hydrogen Association and an active Member of the Swedish Hydrogen Council as well as a keen Member of Women in Green Hydrogen.
